Departures From Binance
Recently, some top executives have resigned from their posts at Binance following the firm’s legal problems with watchdogs and authorities. These include general counsel Han Ng and CSO Patrick Hillmann. Hillmann explained that his wife is expected to give birth soon, making it the perfect time for him to step aside and focus on his family.
CEO Changpeng Zhao (CZ) confirmed the departures, but stated that they were not related to the lawsuits coming from the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and issues with the Department of Justice (DOJ). He expressed pleasure when CCO Perlman said he would stay with Binance despite all regulatory issues.
CCO Perlman said he was proud to be part of this incredible organization as it navigates its growing pains in the crypto industry. He has no intentions of leaving the exchange despite all regulatory problems and believes blockchain technology is here to stay.
Former CSO Patrick Hillmann said he resigned on “good terms” and will continue to support and respect CZ. He also added that he will cheer on his colleagues at Binance as well as support this industry in its maturity process.
Despite several high-level departures from Binance due to legal troubles, CEO Changpeng Zhao remains positive about the future of the company while CCO Noah Perlman is determined to remain part of this incredible organization as it deals with its growing pains in a difficult industry.
